Real Madrid become the first team to win back to back Club World Cup titles after beating Gremio 1-0 in the final at Abu Dhabi. Cristiano Ronaldo scored for the winner for Real, with 41,094 fans in attendance for the final clash.

Gareth Bale, scorer of the winner that saw Real edge Al Jazira in the semifinals, came off the bench in the 79th minute as a substitute for Karim Benzema. Lucas coming on for Isco was the other sub employed by Real manager Zinedine Zidane, who adds another trophy to his burgeoning cabinet.
